Copper in the kitchen: modern or traditional?
This collection suits any kitchen - modern or classic. Darker colors, such as gray, green, navy blue, or black, perfectly harmonize and create a modern combination. The classic combination is copper with white and wood. The kitchen may be a difficult environment, also for metal handles It should be remembered that in order to enjoy the beautiful handles for a long time, they should be maintained from time to time, cleaned and protected against scratches.
Copper is first and foremost one of the few non-ferrous metals in our environment. Together with gold they form the most commonly used pair. It is plastic, conducts electricity and heat very well, has a low hardness and, what is often forgotten, is easily oxidized. It changes under the influence of air. In combination with moist air, it covers with a characteristic green coating - patina. This process may take from several months to over a dozen years. Like every natural material, copper ages, changes, and it depends on us whether we let it happen and admire it.
Below are some tips on how to care for our handles, what are the differences in the types of finishes and shades.
In addition, just like aluminum, it is 100% recyclable! It is assumed that over 80% of the copper currently in circulation in the world comes from the secondary market. |

Is copper in the kitchen a good idea? Is it safe?
Yes. Copper constitutes a natural element in the human diet. Contact of food with copper elements does not negatively affect our health. This metal can be found in such products as: cocoa, liver, hazelnuts, shrimps, or oatmeal. It is important because it helps to absorb iron and together with it is involved in the transport of oxygen in the blood, affects brain functions and immunity. Of course, like everything, both excess and deficiency can be harmful. Our products are not edible, but contact with skin or food is safe.
Types of finishing, maintenance, and cleaning
The finishing of copper elements can be various. Our products are covered with a layer of varnish on the surface, which means that they will remain bright
and shiny for a long time. To avoid damaging the varnish, we recommend using a mild detergent.
ATTENTION! In our store we also offer products from other manufacturers that differ in finish and design.
In order to achieve the same effect on selected, different products, please use search filtering,
especially in terms of the producer, although the "finishing" tab is also useful for this purpose.
Brushed and polished
Finishing natural, unpainted copper can take place in three ways. One is to leave the original, natural, very raw material. The second one consists in rubbing the surface with special brushes that give the impression of tarnishing, leaving delicate stripes which diffuse light. The third one consists in polishing, or giving the surface a very shiny, mirrored effect.

DOES YOUR POLISHED PRODUCT LOSE ITS LOOK?
To take good care of polished products, you can purchase special pastes available in construction and industry stores. We recommend that you follow the instructions given by the manufacturer. If you use cream before cleaning, remove the hanger/knob from the wall or drawer, as some varnishes/creams become black. Apply a small amount of polishing cream to a dry cloth and thoroughly polish in the same direction. When the surface is nice and shiny, wipe off excess cream with a clean soft cloth.
