Do you recognize such a scenario: You enter a completely alien home, feel light embarrassment and uncertainty. However, the aroma that welcomes you from the entrance is a bit familiar, like ... grandma? You enter the room, and see furniture that served you as airports and climbing walls in childhood. The same color, a slightly different setting, maybe less glass. Next, you go to the kitchen, where not only furniture, but also glasses, plates, the kettle, chairs, and table are familiar. Perhaps a slightly different color of cabinets, some more metal elements, but the cloth has the same printed pattern as the one at your home and at Grandma's.

Not much is left from the times when there was no choice of interior furniture and accessories, and the only style prevailing in interiors was the "available" one. However, memories and photos can make us go back to those times and recall their "spirit". Today, furniture from the PRL period constitutes relics of the past that gain value. Poor design, poor quality, but good, almost indestructible materials. A kettle, which could be passed on to the next generation, is something unimaginable today.


 

Traditional kitchen accessories were made of wood, ceramics, and metals, or those a little more expensive from glass. After they were touched by the hand of time, or a careless one, it was only natural that we tried everything to save them. Gluing, grinding, stitching or using in a new way.
